New Year’s resolution succeeded with the help of a genetic test

I’d like to share my story from about a year ago. I made a promise to myself: this year, I would manage to lose weight. Once again, I just didn’t know how. I had tried countless diets and training programs, but the results were always short-term or nonexistent. I always ended up back in my old habits.

In fact, the test provided a lot of information, but here I’ll share just a few key points related to weight loss. Weight loss genes: I learned what kind of diet would suit my genetic makeup. I received personalized recommendations on macronutrients, such as how much protein or carbohydrates I should include in my daily diet. Exercise genes: I found out which forms of exercise were most effective for me. I also received tips for maintaining muscle mass and recovery. Endurance genes: I received information about my sleep rhythm, my personal sleep needs, and how my genes affect my endurance and stress tolerance.
So, I thought, let’s use the test results and get to work. I adjusted my diet according to the recommendations, found a new exercise routine that was really fun and suited my genetic strengths, making it easy to stick to. I also started following a sleep rhythm that matched my natural circadian rhythm. A few months went by in a flash, and what happened? I noticed changes in my body and appearance, and funnily enough, both the scale and my close friends and family noticed as well. I hadn’t just lost weight; I also felt more energetic and balanced. The constant bloating was just a memory.
I’ve never been eager to share my experiences or post personal things on social media, but I just had to share this because the help I received was truly incredible. It was also motivating to see how others at my workplace were achieving their goals and excitedly sharing their thoughts with each other.
